I have worked with David for around 25 years. I keep coming back to him for many reasons – the main ones being his quality of work and his flexibility.
David is collaborative. I’ve found some people in the industry have fixed ideas and they are hard to work with. David, on the other hand, is always willing to consider ideas other than his own – he’ll work with you, rather than against you. David is always on my books if I need a great result, he’s the one I’ll call.

I know several people in the design industry who only use David for their cabinetwork, in particular one Architect I work with who insists on David for almost all her joinery work where possible.
David has a great eye and he’s unbelievably meticulous. Unlike a lot of other joiners out there, I can absolutely trust David to install the job – I know it will be done well. He’s willing to collaborate, and while he’s got a great eye for design, he’s also pragmatic. He won’t let you go ahead if he believes something isn’t going to work.
Finally – David turns up on time. If he can’t be there or deliver something on time, he’ll let you know. A simple thing, but so important for the smooth running of a project. Now that I’ve used David, I don’t even bother going anywhere else.

David was referred to me by other Architects, and I’ve worked with him for over 5 years now. To me, cabinetry is central to the design of a house – not just in the kitchen, but in rooms such as the bathroom and living room as well. Prior to finding David, I worked with other cabinetmakers indirectly through builders. I found results were often compromised because access to the cabinetmakers was difficult, and there was often a disconnect between the way the cabinetwork had been installed and how I’d actually drawn it.
David will take my plans, fine tune them, then create a 3D of the design to confirm we’re in sync. He’s got a great eye for design and fantastic knowledge about cabinetry and all the different fittings , so I always like to discuss his ideas to refine the design. Few problems arise with David, but if something does, he arrives without question to fix it.
In the past, I was normally a bit stressed when reviewing a cabinetwork installation in a finished house because other cabinetmakers sometimes make changes without discussing them.
